God and our day jobs

It’s amazing how man has managed to be independent, to wake up every day and decide how the day will start and end without an ounce of doubt or fear or questioning who is really in control. We have manageds to believe that God is concerned with our Spiritual lives and nothing else and hence not necessary to be involved in our ‘secular’ day to day job. By the end of this I pray that everyone reading this will have realised that we need God as we work just as we need Him when we are in church.

In Exodus 31 verse 2 to 5 God says ‘See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah: and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, to devise skilful works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, and in cutting of stones for setting, and in carving of wood, to work in all manner of workmanship’

There is no Spiritual assignment given to Bezalel in the above portion of scripture when God gave him His Spirit, wisdom, understanding and knowledge, all he received from God was for him to be skilful in what he does. Every time I read this scripture I imagine an engineer, an auditor, a linesman working with the Spirit of God, wisdom and knowledge and I always think that the world would significantly improve.

Lastly let’s look at this scripture, 2 Peter 1 verse 2 to 3 which says that God has given us all things that pertain to life and Godliness, both aspects of our lives are important  thus Spiritual and physical. He is able to give us His Spirit, wisdom, knowledge and power so that we can be productive, I want us to see God as one who is concerned with everything that we do.

From now may we wake up every morning and ask God to be involved and take charge of our jobs, i foresee a successful 2014 for all of us, God loves you and remain blessed.
